The Customer Service Representative will have direct interaction with customers by phone and are responsible for recommending products, resolving inquiries and processing of orders while maintaining a high standard of service and professionalism. Candidates for this position should enjoy repetitive duties with high volume of customer inquiries and exhibit patience and attention to detail as they focus on completing tasks quickly and accurately. This position requires working collaboratively with others in your group and in other departments. 

Responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative

• Responding to customer calls in a high call volume environment
• Working with customers to resolve Issues
• Website order processing
• Screening for fraud
• Handling returns
• Ensuring accuracy in the processing of customer orders
• Communicating and providing input on customer issues to the Quality department
• Document customer issues in an internal system to ensure accurate tracking of improvement efforts
• Accountable for performing to department performance metrics

Requirements of the Customer Service Representative:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two to three years related customer service experience in a high-volume environment /or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Familiarity with Web Order Fraud Screening
• Experienced with Order Management
• Detail oriented
• Self-directed and self-motivated
• Able to work in a quick paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers. Additionally, have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of 1A Auto staff.
• Must have problem solving abilities
• Excellent computer skills (i.e. MS Office, and Web including eBay shopping).
• Knowledge of automotive parts and repair processes a plus
• Team Player

A Day In The Life:

You come to work daily with a smile on your face and excited to help serve our pet parents and their furry friends. You’ll be in our branded gear and help run our front desk by greeting everyone as they come in and solving whatever their need is -- check in, check out, answering questions, booking reservations and tailoring our service offerings to their needs. Your ultimate goal is to find out how we can best serve the pet parent and provide them solutions. You’ll use one of your 15 hands to answer phones, take a pet to their destination for the day, hand out some treats or run some credit cards. You’ll not only communicate with the animal(s), but also have a lot of interaction with mom and dad. You’ll document what you are seeing and be ready to share with your manager and the pet parent. And let’s not forget -- you’re probably going to scoop some poop, clean up some pee, go home with some fur on you and get lots of sloppy kisses!

• Physically able to handle dogs of all sizes and to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Professional pet care and/or veterinarian reception experience preferred
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities:

• Provide impeccable customer service. Ensure that each customer is treated with respect and dignity in order to develop and maintain strong relationships.
• Answer all incoming calls, respond to voicemails, emails and text messages. 
• Manage cash, check, and credit card transactions and reporting/reconciling
• Obtain all information related to a pet’s visit; ensure accuracy of all information. This includes client information as well as pet information. Input all information into resort computer systems. 
• Interact and communicate closely with other staff to ensure client and pet needs and concerns are understood and addressed. 
• Obtain vaccination records from veterinary offices and input into the Gingr computer system.
• Respond promptly and troubleshoot any customer relations issues.
• Ensure all common areas (lobby, retail and employee spaces) are well maintained and stocked.

What we expect:

Proper shoes and the ability to stand for long periods of time on cement are required. We proudly open our doors to all dogs; so applicants should be comfortable around all breeds, regardless of their age and size. We expect applicants to have reliable transportation. We additionally accept cats and various exotics.

 

Work Schedule & Benefits: 

The Barking Dog operates 365 days a year. Ideal applicants will be available for a variety shifts, plus weekends and holidays. A majority of your day will involve interacting with and supervising our dogs in the daycare and kennel. Various cleaning tasks will also be expected to be carried out at some point during each shift.

Salary:
