You will be responsible for greeting guests warmly when they arrive and as they leave. A charming demeanor and a polite attitude are a must to be successful in this job. Having a strong background in customer service is key. You will be responsible for fulfilling customer requests during the event. If there is a seating arrangement, you will plan the seating arrangement and show guests to their seat upon arrival. You will also be in charge of making sure that the space is clean before and after the event. 

During the event, you will need to manage staff working at the event, take care of the guests, and resolve any problems that may come up. You must also have strong communication skills to work with the staff on expectations for the event. A background in management or supervision is preferred. 

We are looking for a candidate who can anticipate problems and has contingency plans for anything that can go wrong. You must also be familiar with health and safety protocols.

Event Host Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the planning, preparation, and organization of events, both with the venue and with clients
  • Managing kitchen and serving staff
  • Greeting and directing guests to their seats
