Our team members enjoy drinking wine and learning about it and sharing their knowledge with others. This work requires you to have a smart phone, portable table, table cloth, ice bucket and other demo related supplies as well as your own reliable transportation. Our team members share values of honesty, integrity and dependability. Experience is not required, but an engaging personality and a cheerful attitude are essential.
o Promote and sell wines to potential customers by offering samples and sharing the brand story and product features.
o Educate store employees and shoppers about wine brands.
o Set up an attractive demonstration table featuring the wines to be promoted and sold.
• Customer Service
o Communicate with all store employees and guests, co-workers, and business associates in a courteous and professional manner. Must be people and hospitality oriented.
• Care of the Tasting Area
o Maintain a clean and attractive demonstration table and clean up at the end of the shift.
• Event Documentation
o Complete recap form summarizing sales figures, customer interactions, and anecdotal comments as needed.
o Upload digital photograph of yourself beside the demonstration table with all the wines in clear view.
o Upload digital photographs of your receipt for the purchase of samples if applicable.
o Upload digital photograph of recap form signed by a wine department manager or other manager on duty.
• Dress appropriately, arrive and depart on time. Provide necessary supplies and equipment such as a portable table, table cloth, ice bucket, wine opener, and sampling cups
Qualifications and Physical Demands
• Experience in a retail environment is very helpful but not required.
• Experience in customer service
• Ability to use a smart phone, personal computer, and navigate an internet portal
• Must have current TABC safe alcohol service Certificate for all Texas events.
