Team Members will assist in front of house or back of house operations.  Depending on experience and interest, you may be trained to be a cashier or a cook with us.  We love to cross train our team members.  You will do things like assist a guest with placing an order, help with preparation of food, or assist with keeping the restaurant clean.  

Job Qualifications

Responsibilities:

The individual in this position is expected to engage in the following work-related activities and complete all training requirements including:

• Zaxby’s Front of House or Back of House Development Plan
  • Hands-on stations training
• Provide friendly, enthusiastic service for all guests
  • Promptly greet guests as they enter and thank them as they leave
• Assist with preparation of food
• Maintain awareness of current promotions
  • Explain menu items, answer questions, and suggest additional items
• Enthusiastically represent the Zaxby’s brand
• Accurately complete orders and guest transactions
  • Enter guest orders accurately into the point of sale system
• Accept payments, operate cash registers, and maintain receipts
  • Handle cash payments, count and verify tills, and record totals appropriately
• Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment
  • Clean and maintain guest areas including dining room, counters, bathrooms, and building exterior
  • Maintain equipment and inform management of maintenance needs
  • Stock paper goods, condiments, serveware, and beverages
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
• Accurately complete, package, and present guest orders
• Other work assigned

Capabilities Requirement:

• Sit, stand, and walk continuously

• Morning shift - 9am - 4pm
• Evenings - 4pm - 10pm
• Weekends- when applicable
• Holidays - when applicable (CLOSED Thanksgiving & Christmas)

Principal Accountabilities:

• Promote exceptional customer service for our guests/clients during all stages of their visit 
• Function as a team member at all times by communicating effectively and diplomatically, being approachable and willing to assist coworkers, maintaining a positive and proactive attitude, and promoting interdepartmental communication and cooperation
• Provide service tickets and/or directions on where and how to access services at GWC
• Manage phone system and properly direct incoming calls
• Provide appropriate referrals to community services based on client request(s)
• Maintain a shift log of activities.

• Assess and manage emergencies according to Gateway Center’s emergency protocol.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma with a minimum of two (2) years of experience or social services experience in a recovery environment will be considered.

The right person for this job should be able to multitask food and beverage orders and deliveries, but not only that. Our restaurant prides itself in providing excellent service, which is why we are looking for a Server who will treat our guests with attentiveness, patience, and a positive attitude.

The responsibilities of a Server in our restaurant are to greet guests, seat them down, help them with menu recommendations, take and deliver orders (carry trays), and clear tables. All our Servers are also responsible for handling cash and credit card transactions.

To help our restaurant provide a pleasurable dining experience, a good server should be able to ensure that our guests are fully satisfied by being friendly, courteous, accommodating, and reliable. A suitable candidate for the job should also be a problem-solver and a team player.

Responsibilities of a Server:

● Providing menu recommendations and additional information.

● Upselling additional products when appropriate.

● Checking ID's to prevent minors from ordering alcoholic beverages.

● Taking orders using software, order slips, or by memorization.

● Communicating order details to the kitchen staff.

● Delivering food and beverages in a timely fashion.

● Delivering checks and collecting bill payments.

● Cleaning and maintaining the appearance of tables and tableware.

● Providing exceptional customer experience.

Server Job Requirements:

● Must showcase teamwork and communication skills.

● Must be able to handle money transactions responsibly.

● Must be able to multitask and act quickly.

● Must be flexible and ready to work in shifts.
