Responsibilities

• Friendly
• Efficiently complete guest transactions at the cash register or self-checkout stations and suggest products that complement purchases

Food

• Adhere to all RaceTrac, federal, state, and local safety-related regulations, including food safety regulations
• Ensure that all food and beverage offers are available
• Clean food preparation areas and equipment to RaceTrac standards

Clean

• Ensure the store is clean and fully stocked to provide an elevated guest experience 
• Clean inside and outside of store
• Stock shelves and coolers and takes inventory on shelf items

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED in progress or completed
• 1-2 years’ work experience preferred
• Previous experience working in a high-volume, guest-focused, transactional environment preferred
• Takes initiative
• Can lift up to 50 pounds and repeatedly bend, stand, and reach while on the job

Team Members will assist in front of house or back of house operations.  Depending on experience and interest, you may be trained to be a cashier or a cook with us.  We love to cross train our team members.  You will do things like assist a guest with placing an order, help with preparation of food, or assist with keeping the restaurant clean.

Responsibilities:

The individual in this position is expected to engage in the following work-related activities and complete all training requirements including:

• Zaxby’s Front of House or Back of House Development Plan
  • Hands-on stations training
• Provide friendly, enthusiastic service for all guests
  • Promptly greet guests as they enter and thank them as they leave
• Assist with preparation of food
• Maintain awareness of current promotions
  • Explain menu items, answer questions, and suggest additional items
• Enthusiastically represent the Zaxby’s brand
• Accurately complete orders and guest transactions
  • Enter guest orders accurately into the point of sale system
• Accept payments, operate cash registers, and maintain receipts
  • Handle cash payments, count and verify tills, and record totals appropriately
• Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment
  • Clean and maintain guest areas including dining room, counters, bathrooms, and building exterior
  • Maintain equipment and inform management of maintenance needs
  • Stock paper goods, condiments, serveware, and beverages
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
• Accurately complete, package, and present guest orders

Principal Accountabilities:

This position will be under the direct supervision of the Facilities Director.

• Maintain floors using proper equipment

• Maintain chemicals needed for floor care, and maintain a proper inventory of floor care supplies

• Shampoo and clean carpets in offices and common areas as needed

• Care for and maintain floor care equipment

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for all staff and clients

• Other required duties may be assigned by the supervisor including -but not limited to- setting up for special events, ground   care and light yard work, etc.

• Custodian will also be required to be available to assist with cleaning at either facility

Qualifications:

• Skilled in use of both low and high speed buffer / burnisher

• Able to use a walk-behind floor scrubber

• Experience in stripping, waxing and maintaining Vinyl Composite Tile (VCT)

• Able bend, stoop, lift and carry up to 75 pounds

• Able to use all necessary cleaning chemicals provided by Gateway

• Work with and provide guidance to clients and RI’s who are interested in learning floor care and custodial skills

• Effective communication skills

• High School diploma or equivalent
